Remey
From Linda, Remey’s mom:
Remey has been part of Linda’s life since the very beginning—quite literally. When he was just four weeks old, his mother could no longer care for him, and Linda stepped in to bottle-feed him every two hours. From that moment on, Remey wasn’t just one of her dogs—he was her baby.
Now seven and a half years old, Remey is the heart of a close-knit pack of four dogs, all related. He’s the most active of them all—always running, playing, and keeping his siblings moving. Smart, attentive, and deeply intuitive, Remey listens closely, understands more than most dogs seem to, and is Linda’s perfect companion on car rides and daily life. He’s gentle, joyful, and full of life.
When Remey was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in October 2025, it came as a complete shock. He had never been sick before. Even now, in remission, Remey still acts like himself—eager to play, determined to keep going, and showing the same spark that’s always defined him.
To maintain his remission, Remey needs ongoing chemotherapy every three weeks. Linda has done everything she can to make that happen—using credit cards, payment plans, and stretching herself thin after months of unemployment and limited work hours. Despite the financial strain, her focus has never wavered: keeping Remey healthy, happy, and by her side for as long as possible.
With support from Toby’s Hope, Linda was able to continue Remey’s treatment and give him the chance to keep doing what he loves most—running, playing with his siblings, and living life with the same strength and joy he’s shown since he was a tiny puppy in her arms.
Remey is a fighter. And to Linda, he’s family in every sense of the word.
