Oakley
From Michelle, Oakley's mom:
Meet Oakley, my loyal companion and my best friend. With all his tail wagging and his ever-joyful spirit Oakley has been my confidant and my constant source of comfort. I got Oakley at 7 weeks old – five months before COVID hit. He was the smallest of the litter, and he melted my heart, and he became mine. My world was shaken on August 4, 2025, when Oakley was diagnosed with T cell lymphoma. It felt like a storm hit me out of nowhere because he’s only 5 years old and still full of life. The days have become a blur of vet visits, treatments, and countless moments of worry. But amidst the uncertainty, Oakley’s spirit never waivered. He loved playing with his brother, going to daycare, playing with a ball in the backyard and just being loved. Thanks to the kindness of strangers and the support/help from Toby’s Hope, we followed the oncologist recommendation for chemotherapy. Unfortunately, Oakley's lymphoma became aggressive and he didn't respond to chemotherapy. Losing him was very hard but I'm grateful for the support and compassion from Toby's Hope along the journey.
