Lucy
Lucy is more than just my dog, she is my heart, my constant, and truly my soulmate. She came into our lives through Forgotten Dogs Rescue as my very first dog, and from the very beginning, it felt like she was the one who rescued me. She brought with her the sweetest, silliest spirit, complete with her signature goofy smile and a very serious love for treats. She instantly adored her new siblings and fit right into our family like she had always been meant to be there. Lucy has been by my side through every season of life. She’s my trail girl, my adventure partner, and my favorite companion for both big hikes and slow, quiet neighborhood walks. No matter where we were going, she was just happy to be together. She also has a special place in her heart for sleepovers at Grandma and Grandpa’s, she even knows the words and lights up the moment she hears them. And in life’s more difficult moments, when I was sick or recovering from surgery, Lucy never left me. She stayed right by my side, offering comfort, warmth, and a kind of unconditional love that only she could give. As we now walk through this chapter of her health journey, my heart is so full of gratitude for Toby’s Hope. Because of their kindness and support, Lucy is able to receive the care she needs. It means more time for walks, more sleepovers, more treats, and more of those little everyday moments that make her so special. Lucy is, and always will be, my girl and I am endlessly thankful for every moment we get together
