Daisy

When Daisy was diagnosed, the emotional weight was immense—but with the support of Toby’s Hope, Dave and Heidi found relief and hope during one of the hardest chapters of their lives. Daisy, a 100-pound mix of Mastiff, American Staffordshire, Rottweiler, and Pug (but truly a “giant pug at heart”), has always brought laughter and joy to her family with her snorts, grumbles, and signature meal-time happy dance. A Christmas puppy and instant family unifier, Daisy was not only a gift to Dave and Heidi’s newly blended family, but also to their other dog Clover—named after Daisy’s best dog friend. Over the years, Daisy’s adventurous spirit, love for water (despite her questionable swimming technique), and hilarious antics—like her spontaneous swim toward Mercer Island—have become cherished family lore. Even as she faced illness, Daisy’s resilience and spirit shine through. She passed on October 2, 2025 and she will be greatly missed.
