Daisy
Daisy is a rescue from the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. When my daughter was 6, we went to find a dog for her. When we asked about this dog and its name they said we don't know- she was a stray and we've been calling her Daisy. Well, that was a done deal, as my daughter's name is Lily.
Daisy and Lily bonded instantly. Just a month later, I walked in the door to find Daisy on the floor with Lily on her tummy. Lily was painting Daisy's toenails with her water color paints. Whatever Lily did, Daisy was beside her. Lily would dress Daisy with a Sherpa hat, sunglasses, bead necklace and hair ties as bracelets. Daisy would wear it all with pride.
We decided to get some chickens. Daisy appointed herself as a Chicken Shepherd dog. She would follow and watch them when let out to free range in the yard. And eventually, all we had to do was tell Daisy, "Daisy Chicken birds nite nite" and she would herd them all into the coop area and sit at the gate until someone closed the gate. Best doggie ever.
