Wellness Wednesday-Tip 5

Welcome back to Wellness Wednesdays. You pour love into your dog every day—it’s time to pour some back into yourself. Here’s a quick, wellness tip to help you stay resilient and present.

Acknowledging and validating difficult emotions: If you feel deep sadness or anxiety even while your dog is still here, you’re likely experiencing anticipatory grief. This is normal. You are grieving the loss of your dog’s health and the life you had. Give yourself permission to feel it, and know you’re not alone.

You may find yourself experiencing a range of emotions during this difficult time. Reach out to your friends and family for support. If you’d like more help, www.psychologytoday.com and https://zencare.co/ are good places to search for professional support.
