From Grief to Giving: An Interview With Toby’s Hope for Canine Cancer Founder Suman Kamath

Thank you AHELP for featuring our Founder on their Blog this past Monday. AHELP is Animal Hospice, End of Life and Palliative Care Project.

They prepare, guide, and empower pet parents through their animal companion’s journey – during illness, end of life, and beyond – to make compassionate decisions that promote quality of life on the path to the Rainbow Bridge.

During this interview, our Founder, Suman Kamath, opens up about how her journey with Toby while he battled lymphoma continued after his passing on August 24, 2025. Grief is hard. Suman shares how losing Toby has been difficult but the organization he inspired, Toby’s Hope, keeps her going.

This Giving Tuesday, December 2, we hope you’ll consider supporting Toby’s Hope. No one should face the heartbreak of a pet’s cancer diagnosis alone or without support.
